Connecting Rods

Hi, im building my 400 1966 engine with B heads.

I install a new Joe Mondello camshaft (over .500 lift), new cast aluminum pistons, and more new parts on it.

Im using my original steel forged connecting rods, do you think they are good or I need to change to new forged.

How many HP can the original connecting rods handle?

thanks

At your power level, they will work fine.

You should be fine with the original connecting rods. They are pretty stout.

It's probably a good idea to replace the rod bolts with a good grade of new ones, like ARP, before reconditioning the rods.

Thank you, I will use my Rods. I already change to ARP bolts. I think my engine is going to be like 300 to 320 HP
