Update
I'll finally have my 455 back from the machine shop next week some time. Have to take over my bellhousing to get it lined up and the performer intake to have it port matched (was holding out for air gap performer but they still do not make one yet). Then it's trial fit time in the 48 so I can finally figure out what I have to do to the floor pan to make the 5-speed TKO fit. About time don't you think

Update
Here are a couple of pictures. Just have not had any time to start the assembly of the drive train. Hope to start soon. I will post a build sheet in the next couple of days

455 Build sheet
here is the build sheet for my new engine
I have yet to pick out the Carburetor. I will be going with a Quick Fuel either a 780 or an 880. I tell you figuring the right CFM is a bitch. Still have not figured it out. Any Thoughts

This is my first go with the ford 9". We'll see how it works out. My main challenge at this point is picking the correct carburetor for this set up. I have looked at all the formulas and the more you read the the more confusing it gets. Because it is primarily a street car that will see limited strip use I will stick with vacuum secondaries. I am attracted to the Quick fuel brand either the 780-VS or the 880-VS just have to figure out which one will work the best for my total combination.

Dan is a friend of mine, if you want a carb built specifically for your setup I can get you in touch w/ him. He can build anything you want him to. For me he built a HP950 that flows 870 cfm. Pm me and I'll give you his personal contact info, and I'll give him a heads up to give you a great deal.
I have your build sheet saved and I don't mind taking it to him to get him started, just let me know.
