Can anyone ID this water pump?
This water pump was on an Olds 350 motor I just picked up recently. A friend of mine thinks it might have been for one of the W-machine applications. The casting number is 400269 D2 with a smaller 332 (date code?). Can anyone tell me about this pump? See enclosed pictures.
Thanks.

That water pump will fit on a 350 engine but it was used for 1968 and 1969 versions on the 400 and 455 engines with A/C or heavy duty cooling. It also applied to the W-30, W-32 and Hurst Olds. The "332" is the Julian casting date, which would be either the 332nd day of 1967 or 1968.

Thanks,
My friend wasn't sure but he had a suspicion that it was for applications other than the 1969 Olds 350 I recently got. The engine is a strong runner that has since been cleaned up, re-gasketed, painted, and had several components replaced, including the water pump. I replaced it with one from my local auto parts store.
