The heads had the following done:
Magnafluxed
Resurfaced
8 new exhaust valves
8 new intake valves
8 new exhaust seats
16 new valve seals
8 new intake seats
5 new guides
Had A.I.R bumps ground down
Complete valve job
Mark CutlassEFI supplied all the springs and hardware
Ill throw in a set of chrome tall stamped Steele valve covers
They have a set of harland sharp S50026A roller rockers 1.6 ratio
Ill take the roller rockers off if you don't want them
$650 for the heads and rockers

These heads are ready to go

At the risk of being corrected, it is my conclusion that the only way to identify which year the head was cast or made is if the head has a stamped code on the end of the head that would identify the vehicle it was installed in. Since they used C heads on 67 -69 cars the julian date code does not tell the year? ( 299 is the Julian date code on your head) - stands for the 299th day of the year -- but which year? Ya cant tell!!!

Has this pair always been together?

Are they both "299"? (October 26th) 10/26 was a Wednesday in '66 / Thursday in '67 & Saturday in '68, I'm not sure I've seen a Saturday casting date.

Are they both large or small heat crossover?

Is there a stamped engine unit number on the end of one of the heads?

Big or small valve heads? What did you buy? You have valves listed in your original "shopping list".

Here's a '67 442 head w/engine unit number stamping.

This was on another thread.
66-67 heads had the small hole cross over and the 68-69 had the large cross over. (The hole that feeds hot air under the carb.)

Narrows it down.
