BTR built 468

I've been working on my car trying to get it all set for the summer season.
I had BTR build me an aluminum head 468 cubic inch engine

The fuel system is a Aeromotive stealth 340 with the inside the fuel tank pump. Had to run a feed line and return line as well as a regulator.

The cooling system is from Universal Parts Inc. The radiator is huge with dual 13" Spal fans.

Had to run a new throttle cable.
Got all accessory brackets powder coated.
Had to get the TH400 rebuilt to withstand the new engine.
Had to make new transmission cooler lines as well as install an external trany cooler.
Had to get a new smaller brake booster to make room for this beast of an engine.
Had to modify the alt bracket to work with the air gap manifold.
I am installing another fuse box just for the fuel pump, cooling fans and new ignition system, this way anything original to the car will continue to use the factory fuse box.
Need to modify a Ls oil dipstick tube to work with the Olds block.
Me and Steve Minori had one hell of a time getting this thing in the car,it has a 7 qt oil pan so the motor had to go in without the trany.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something here! I've spent a lot of time and $$ on this thing but it should be worth it!

I'll try to upload some pics!

BTR engine

Pic of the engine..

The car has a Hotchkiss suspension and custom 3" exhaust with flow master muffler.

It prob won't see any track time but hey you never know. I really just wanted a mean street car.

Nice

Is that a temp air cleaner or is that one you are going to use, If it is the one you are using I would be concerned that it is choking point and that you are limiting the engine.

Not a whole lot of room/clearance under the hood for a taller air cleaner.

Wasn't there a vendor who sold the correct ram air set up?

I would do the math on the min air cleaner size.
I also would look into a drop base air cleaner.
The factory ram air unit would most likely sit to high and it is set up for a qjet carb only.

SteveC , I'm curious what is all included in your Hotchkis suspension? Especially did you use B-spindles and used Hotchkis B spindle control arms etc??

I used the hotchkis tvs system.
Stock spindles
1" lowering springs
Front sway bar
Rear swaybar
Upper and lower controll arms front and rear
Billstein shocks

I swapped out the factory steering box as well.
I kept the factory spindles because I only wanted to lower the car 1"

It's a little rough on crappy roads but it handles really well for a 46 year old A body. It's really stiff with practically NO body roll.
