455 dipstick

Having a hard time installing the factory dipstick!
Tapped on it with a block of wood and hammer but this thing does not want to go in fully.

Never had a hard time installing these before, any tips?

Thanks

Lightly sand around the perimeter of the bump that goes into the block. Test fit, sand, test fit until it pops in.

Also put a bolt in it, and tap on it, gives you more of a positive contact.
