big block 455 fuel pump

greetings all and happy new year.....

seems the fuel pump on my 442 has decided to" check out " for the scrap heep.

i can only guess the diaphragm has let go.....and since the ambient temp. outside here in northwest indiana is 6 below this morning, i'm not in a big hurry to be laying on my back and making a changeout.

just need to get some opinions on brands of pumps you fella's are using, or have replaced the oem (2) line in/ out. i'm guessing a 5-6 psi pump for an oem setup is appropriate..... suggestions ??

Stock engine and fuel system requires only a stock replacement pump. I've used Carter pumps with no issues for that application.

Yep. Your local auto parts store should have it. Mine had to get it from the warehouse, which took a day, which was faster than buying online and having it shipped.

Airtex 40736. Stock replacement for W-30 and 455 high output Toronado. It’s pretty of pump for a stout 455, especially for a $40 pump.
