Are 69 bare C heads with two cracked valve guides worth $100? A guy down the road from me are selling them.

Good "C" head cores, with good guides and seats are worth aprox $200 on the high end. To replace all the guides should cost just about $200. I have recently picked up a good set of complete "C" casting heads, in good shape, for $50. If the heads are complete with big valves or stainless steel valves, and not cracked, they are probably worth $100 in otherwise good shape.

 

He says they have 2" intake and 1.625 exhaust valves.
