455 red engine paint code.

455 red engine paint code.
Anybody in readerland have a paint code for the 455 red engine paint? I was told that Chrysler red was very close match, that’s what I used when the engine was out a few years ago. The red paint looked good for a while, then faded to a lighter red, then to a orange (it was bad enough that a fellow Olds guy asked why I painted it chebby orange. Blasphemy!) and if that wasn’t bad enough, has now turned to a almost pinkish color. I’m comfortable enough with my manliness to have a orange engine, I’m drawing the line at pink! I would like to have my local DuPont or PPG dealer mix some and use it in a spray can. Next year I may pull the engine and strip it down completely and repaint it the right way.

I haven't found one and I spent time digging. A noted Olds restorer has a PPG paint code, offered to share it with me but never did when I followed up. I bought three cans of red from different suppliers (fusick/inline tube/thorntons), one was okay but wasn't thrilled with the other two, which was interesting because the okay one and another one that didn't match appeared to come from the same paint supplier.
