I'll try bring this post back to what the thread was originally about. Sorry for the hi jacking. Was just wondering if a torquer would work decent on a mildly built motor. I'm thinking it will loose bottom end (but still be decent) and gain lots in the mid range and top end hp.

subscribed can't wait for the results. I'm most curious about the open vs 4 hole spacer will preform on the preformer. Just ordered a open phenolic spacer for a dual plane.

Was there a final result on the Torker yet? Just curious, piecing my 455 build together now...

For a mild build the Performer would be my #1 choice.

Who has a good used one on hand? This Torker tends to be a intake suited for .550-up lift cam stall/3.50 gears ect?

Cam lift has very little influence on manifold choice. It's the gear, use and duration that dictates that.

cutlassefi...would there be a benefit using a Torker with a roller hyd.236/244@.050 duration a 400turbo trans with 2200 stall and 3.73 rear gears. It's a 455 with Mondello heads.I have a performer with the divider cut on it now.Looking for stronger mid and upper but not over 6200 rpms. And will I lose much from 1000 to 3000 rpms. Thanks..and what do you think about that cone in the plenum. It's a streeter 95% of the time.

Cam is Voodoo 262/268 gear shall be 3.20-3.50 series. 3500+lb vehicle. What is the minimum power/combo to utilize the Torker in basic street/mild applications? When does it become nessicary to up grade from in the standard dual planes?

You need way more cam than that to justify a Torker.
I'd shoot for 500hp as the turning point. It's already been proven over and over, an out of the box RPM will make 500 on the right combo without issue.

Right. These guidelines are evasive to find in research. What are the order of dual planes that go from bone stock to mild cam/duals/slight stall? Only the Edelbrock Performer? Too bad there has not been a thread to end all threads that will give a hardcore guideline of what works up to that ragged edge of drag motor. Massive tourque is what I am going to shoot for in each motor. This one is very mild. The next will have forged +30, E-heads, larger cam. Street & interstate is the goal. A 150hp nitrous will go on to bump the deal for that 1/4 mile blast. Earlville is only 24 miles away. All concrete.
