1970 olds 442 engine rebuild question
I have a 1970 Olds 442 W30 engine to rebuild. I have all the other correct W30 parts (carb, distrib, intake & exhaust manifold). I want to keep as much original as possible. other info - I have E heads now but looking for F heads. (E heads were redone to accept regular unleaded gas)
Question - One of the pistons will need replaced. Engine turns freely.
What pistons should I use as well as rods / bearings?
Thoughts on boring block?
Where should I get parts for engine rebuild?
Anything I'm missing or suggestions

hopefully the engine folks will chime in but depends on what you want from the engine. I kept mine as close to stock as possible, went with forged pistons just because and got a modern grind camshaft that added a bit more pep but did not go overboard. My thoughts are if the engine doesn't need to be bored don't do it but most likely it will so do as little as you can. - mine was bored .020 over IIRC
I have read in many places that folks say do not bother getting hardened valve seats on Old's heads but again see who chimes in that knows way more than I do about engines..
