Okay, so ordered a stock fuel pump (see link below) for the 65 442 (w/AC - has fuel return line). I also ordered the fuel line for the fuel pump to carb. Sounds easy enough, right, but of course one or the other is not correct. The fuel line requires a pump fitting that points upward, but as you can see in the photo the pump fitting is pointing horizontally.


The service manual picture shows a different type of pump, with the pump fitting pointing upwards, and it just looks different. I've seen a photo of a correct car and the pump looks the same as the service manual. Of course that car is not an A/C car, so not sure if the pumps are different.

Is the pump in the link correct for the A/C car, and if not, where do you get the correct stock fuel pump from? If it is correct, then the fuel line is incorrrect. I ordered from Supercars because they are supposed to be the specialists, and their website states this is correct for the AC car. But I've learned that means nothing when it comes to these 65 442's.
