Sourcing a front bumper

Hello fellow 442 ers

I have a 1971 442 that needs the front bumper replaced. I see many sources out there such as Fusick, Brothers, OLDS parts etc.

I would really like a first rate quality bumper. I understand that criteria such as triple plating and show quality are desirable. What I would really like is some actual feedback from those whom have purchased a new front bumper, whom they purchased from, and what was the results and your satisfaction when it arrived and you inspected the part?

Need to get this part sourced and would be pleased for your input.

Welcome. The repro bumpers are all made in the same one or two factories in China. If you want first rate quality, get a good core and have it plated by a top-rated shop like Qual Krome, Advanced Plating, etc. Expect to pay about $300 for a repro and $800 for a top quality replate.

I just last week replaced the rear bumper on my 69 442. The bumper was from Fusick. It fit very well and was almost half the price of re chroming the original (which was aftermarket also).
I agree with Joe the the best of all worlds would be to re chrome the original, but if cost is a factor, Fusick may be the way to go.
Good luck
