I don't see how this is a W30 from just looking at that cowl tag. The W30 option in 68 was the force air (OAI). Is there something not in the pictures to suggest it was there?

Not from the cowl tag, but I'm assuming the chalky white inner fenders were originally red? Note the correct passenger-side washer fluid tank, the manual drum brakes, and the CORRECTLY POSITIONED W-36 stripes (). Most importantly, note the clips on the inner fenders for holding the O.A.I. tubes. Nice find.

Could be, from what I see, the inner fenders look black, the stripes look factory so they should be ok. Did the 68 W30 have W30 just over the front marker light? I see what you mean about the clips. I didn't see them when I first looked. That's why I asked. Can you tell from the pics whether this was a 4 speed? I can't see any pedals, but maybe the console mounting bracket sticking up can give a clue? Or would you need to see the hole in the tunnel? Found this on the site that shows the detail. https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...tml#post155936

No external W-30 decals or emblems in 1968. I tried zooming in on the firewall photo but I can't tell if there's a clutch rod cutout or not - not that it matters, you could get an AT W-30 in 68. I suspect that the black on the inner fenders might be paint. I have a red 1970 inner that someone painted black. Fortunately, once you strip the paint, you find that the pls

It a 4 speed posi gages no power steering or brakes with console will get better photos later .Missing the scoops and air cleaner but have them on the white car which is a W-30 auto car with rusty top.

That sounds good I looked at the Goodmark roof,The one they had at the show was ok but light metal and would need alot of prep work.I will let you know on the roof and thanks for the offer.I may change my MO and go with an older Oldsmobile for my next car. I have found a 1934 Olds 3 window coupe Im trying to buy, and may have to sale off my W-30 stuff to buy hate to see it go but dont have the space or money.Still up in the air what to do but the sale of all 3 cars and all parts would free up alot of space. This site is GREAT thanks for all your help and info Darren
