OAI PVC Kit 1971

Does anyone make this kit besides the parts place? Is it feasible to convert a standard breather pan to take these parts ? Thanks

Most Olds vendors have those parts.

converting the air cleaner should be a matter of carefully measuring and cutting/ drilling.

A uni-bit should work well for that.

Don't forget the drain holds in the bottom of the air can.

Thanks guys. We're on the same track. I just needed someone to tell me what I thought I knew. My base is in really decent shape and I didn't see the point in forking over a bunch of $ for a new one. I was thinking hole saw but a uni bit sounds better. Already have the drain holes in the bottom marked !

Was going to mention one other thing. The breather pipes on the OAI are LONGER than standard 350 and 455 pipes. Other than that the kit components can be bought individually. 90.00 for those parts seems high, but I haven't priced out NAPA or Dorman replacements for awhile.

there are 2 or 3 different lengths of those elbow pipes for the 70-72 cars.I have seen some unmolested cars that had one that was longer on one side, and shorter on the other. In theory,I would think the longer ones go on the 455's,due to the wider intake, thus farther distance. Then there are the gromets than go into the bottom of the air cleaner. Some of my cars have the same gromet on each side, and some have a shorter elbow gromet on one side, and a longer elbow gromet on the other.
A few different ways to skin the cat.
