Efi

I am in the process of installing ACES EFI on my 70 442.It is a slow go as I am also working on a 70 Corvette LT1 that I recently acquired that sat for over 29 Years.
I have the stock 455 low rise aluminum manifold and the OAI, so I would like to keep that. The issue is the Q-Jet to square bore normally requires a 3/4" adapter. I had in stock a 1/4" phenolic spacer for the Q-Jet and the Aces EFI has both bolt patterns. I didn't like the sharp edge on the intake so today I rounded them over to create a smooth transition. I also used the original throttle cable bracket and modified it and raised it up to the higher pivot position on the throttle plate..
I also had to machine a pin to attach the cable at the throttle plate.

Does it fit with the OAI hood now?

I used a 4 hole base gasket after trying the one you’re using, better fuel distribution. Here’s a shot of my fuel line setup.

Edelbrock 04B, with a lot of plenum work, and port matching..
