Driveshaft / yoke orientation?

Getting ready to put u-joints in my driveshaft for a '70 442 & was wondering if this is the correct orientation front or back on the driveshaft. I can't remember if the yoke goes on the short or long narrowed end. I've attached a photo to show what I'm talking about. Thanks.

When you install the u-joints, have the grease fittings in the same orientation. Makes it easier to grease when installed in the vehicle.

More importantly, when you install the u-joints, be sure the grease fitting holes are in compression when moving forward, not tension.

U-Joint Compression v Tension

I’m installing a rear U joint on 1969 442. What/how is compression or tension?

As the driveshaft turns to propel the car forward, the "V" where the grease fitting is located (if the U-joint is equipped) should be under compression rather than in tension. This reduces the likelihood of cracking the U-joint under abnormal stresses like when launching the car on a drag strip w/ sticky tires..
