'64 4-4-2 Production ?
'64 4-4-2 Production ?
Does anyone know the unit production numbers per body style and production dates for the 1964 4-4-2 ?
I remember riding in a "baby blue" 4 door 4-4-2 with 4 speed and light blue bucket seats......."back in the day". I know they existed in 4 doors.
Over the years I have asked around about where the one I was in went to. Maybe some day I'll find it, maybe not.

The most surprising this to me in your post is that the 4 door had bucket seats. I thought that the 1973 Cutlass Salon was the 1st 4 door to offer front bucket seats but perhaps I am mistaken.
Are you sure you are remembering the bucket seats correctly?
As with anything, "memory" is subject to error. I was kid in high school at the time. I have some old high school chums I might be able to ask if they remember.
Ronnie Roberts was the son of the owners. They lived on the "east side" of Waterloo, Iowa and I believe it came from Tate Cadillac & Olds. I don't know if it was "ordered". It was a 4 door sedan with the 4-4-2 emblems and no console.
I seem recall thinking it was odd to have bucket seats in a 4 door. I rode "shotgun" once.
This car has intrigued me for many, many years. I'd love to find it, but the odds are against it still existing.
I don't know if there would be a way to do a title search to track it down. Any suggestions ?
Back in 1967 the Waterloo Police Department had an "unmarked" black 4 door with the "Police Pursuit Apprehender package" in a Cutlass with 400 and automatic "on loan" for a couple months. It was FAST ! The police department turned it back in because it was too fast and the old guys couldn't handle it.

Ralph, I would think that if you distinctly recall the car as having bucket seats, then the Tate dealership must have done the conversion in order to satisfy a customer request. This seems a much more likely explanation than the factory having done it or you imagining the whole thing.
It's no big deal to install buckets in a more-door - I did it to the 1968 Vista I used to own. The car was not born with them, however. Of course, the fact that someone installed buckets always begs the question, what other non-original parts (or emblems) were on the car? The four speed WAS factory available in a four door that year.
Nice discussion thread. As a lot of you guys in this Club know, I'm building my own 64 442, livin the dream I guess

I’m planning on doing that era-appropriate stripe on mine as well in white over Bahama Blue!
Also, the base and Deluxe F-85s would have had a cloth patterned interior only, correct or no? What upholstery would have been on the 3127 buckets?
