olds stats
Dear Josh, '65 2/4 door stats are a bit hazy, but about 88,000, '66 Delta 88 conv were again an estimate on the year, but approx 27,000. Hope that helps, Roger Kent in UK ( 1975 Delta 88 Royale Conv)

There were exactly zero Delta 88 convertibles built in the 1965 model year. The only body styles offered as a Delta 88 in 1965 were the Celebrity Sedan (29,915 built), the Holiday Sedan (37,358), and the Holiday Coupe (23,194). For 1965, if you wanted a B-body convertible, your only choices were the Jetstar 88, Dynamic 88, or Starfire.
In the 1966 model year, there were 4,303 Delta 88 convertibles built (along with 5,540 Dynamic 88 convertibles).

As ever, Joe is on target with facts, yet again avoiding “truth-decay”.
Still wish Olds had built a 1966 Starfire convertible. That would have been cool.
But 1966 was the Toro intro year and the “Buckets & console” had mostly run its course by that point for the big cars.
The good news was the muscle car era was dawning with all the good things we still enjoy 60 years later.
