intresting problem
After spending the weekend replacing the front suspension brake parts and everything else on the front end, I put on my front tires which are Cragars 14 inch and the the caliper bracket was to big. Has anyone else had this problem with any other rims the old ones fit fine so i put them back on. It was just a bad way to end a job ya know.
Are these aftermarket 'performance' calipers or just original replacements?
If looking for a standard replacement, you could just get a rebuild kit and replace the innards of your originals. You can derust them and paint them to make them look new.

Let's all take a step backwards. Was the car originally a disk brake car, or did you convert it? If it's an original disk brake car, did the wheels clear before? If you converted it, did you use stock or aftermarket parts?
The 67-72 A-body cars with disk brakes came from the factory with 14" wheels. Unfortunately, not all 14" wheels have the same backside clearance due to differences in the contour where the rim joins the center. 14" factory SuperStock II/III wheels clear FACTORY disk brakes with no problem. If you have an aftermarket disk brake conversion, all bets are off.
