Wheel recommendations for 1978 98
I went to the tire shop for a rebalance yesterday and while that was accomplished successfully I was informed the lug nut holes are worn out and it's "losing contact on the back". He showed me what he was talking about, and I could see it very well. So, time for some new wheels, but naturally they didn't have any in their catalogue. I was given a couple of numbers here, 5x5 15 and 5x127 15. The wheels on there now are the originals most likely, as this is a driving car I'm going to need something soon to keep putting lots of miles on it. I looked at Classic Industries but I'm not sure if what they have will work, does anyone have suggestions for where I can find what I'm needing? Thanks.

Did you take a picture? I find it hard to believe that OE steel wheels would get dangerously worn. Not unless your Oldsmobile has 500k+ miles on it. I doubt even @joe_padavano has an Oldsmobile with that many miles.

Or it could have the wrong lug nuts?
Ya snap a pic of the WOW lug holes. (worst of the worst).
Be advised if you buy new make sure they are NOT off shore.
Other GM big cars used this same rim. Widen your search, it may produce.

The stock wheels on that 1978 Olds 98 were 15" diameter, 6" wide, and have a 5 x 5" bolt circle. For the math-challenged, 127mm is exactly equal to 5", so 5x5" and 5x127mm are the same bolt pattern. It is certainly POSSIBLE for the lug nut holes to become worn if the car is driven for a long period of time with the lugnuts incorrectly torqued. These particular wheels were used on 1977-1984 Oldsmobile 98s and Buick Electra 225s. They are surprisingly difficult to find used, as most of those cars have long ago been scrapped after being used for demolition derbies. The B-body station wagons used the same 5 x 5" bolt circle but came with 15x7 wheels.
I looked at Finish Line Wheels, theoretically they have them so I emailed them to see what's in stock. In the meantime I found a wheel that's listed for a Chevy C10 that seems to be the right pattern and size. Think this could work?
