Tire size

I'm still new to all this so I wanted to run the sizes of the tires I picked up by you guys. The other day I bought a set of SSIII wheels with Cooper Cobra raised white letter tires:

Fronts - 235/60R15
Rears - 265/50R15

Will these work well on my 72 Cutlass S? Its a big change from my smaller narrow 14-inchers that are on the car now...

Thanks,
Bill

My buddy's dad has crager ss's On his 71 Cutlass with BFG's 295/50/15's on the rear and they fit fine!

235's should be ok on the front, but I wouldn't go that wide for a front tire

Thanks Redog - sounds like I'll be good with this set then. Or at least as long as they last...

You do realize that the 265/50-15s are actually about 3/4" SMALLER in diameter than the 235/60s, don't you? The 295/50s would be about 1/2" larger in diameter.
