New Tires

New Tires
I just had the wheels on my 75 Hurst Olds sandblasted and then I primed them with the two part can of epoxy primer and sprayed them with two coats of the correct color of single stage enamel. Then I had my Diamond Back Gold Line tires installed. I installed 235/70 R15 in place of the 205/60 R15's that were on the car. So three things happened. I have nice clean wheels and new lug nuts and I have tires that fill the wheel well with Gold Stipes which match the gold pinstripes and wheels on the car. I did a lot of work on the wheels and spent more than I would like on the tires but am very happy with the results. You guys can tell me what you think. It doesn't matter whether you like them or not, I am just curious what you think.

Gold pinstripes make me think 60s more than 70s, but they work on the Hurst/Olds.
Just curious what brand of tire Diamondback used to create them? And wonder how they'd look on a white 74 H/O!

They are Milestar tires. I was not familiar with them but they have a pretty good rating. If you are just buying Milestar tires, they are reasonably priced.

We took the car to the BOPC show yesterday and it was the first time it has been out with the new tires. It rode and drove lots better than the old tires. Tires are about two inches bigger than the old ones but did not rub. I got a number of compliments on the tires and managed to bring home a class trophy. I told my wife what a great deal it was to spend $1,500 - $1,600 and bring home an $8.00 trophy. She just smiled and shook her head. I really like the Diamond Back tires.

the 235 70 15 Gold Lines look great . yes the Diamond Back SS is a Mile Star Street Steel tire. The RWL has been removed / shaved . I also have 15 x 7 SS rims / cost me 70 dollars each to have them sand blasted at a local shop .

I did a lot of research on the Diamond Back tires and am very happy with them. I probably have about 600 miles and them. I won't tell you how much I spent to have my wheels sand blasted. I had stripped everything off them myself. I did have one place quote me $80 but I was way less than that. If you ever buy any Diamond Back tires, buy them through Summit and save the shipping.
