Recently, a 91 Chevy Caprice entered the local junkyard and I went to get the wheels. They're the upgraded faux wire wheels.
When I bought the wheels the salvage yard had them listed on their website as steel wheels for $32/wheel. Of course, since they're aluminum wheels they charged me $65/wheel.
Here you can see that 2 of the wheels had ROTTEN tires. The cashier told me she wasn't going to charge me for the tires but I spent $10 more on Friday when I got the wheels with rotten tires.
The 2 wheels without tires I got on Saturday morning. They were mounted on the front of the car and I had to come back with my impact to get them. On Friday, a kid that worked at the junkyard tried to help me retrieve them and all we did was bend my tire iron!
Here you can see I got rid of the rotten tires. I tried to go to the junkyard with my receipt and have them remove the tires. They wanted more money (after they already charged me for the rotten tires)! No way!
I went to Sam's Club and they only charged $5 for tire mounting/dismounting and disposal but you had to buy a set of tires.
I was close to using a hacksaw to remove the rotten tires and I was going to put them in my trash bin along with my old antifreeze. You might remember this thread:
Luckily, I stopped by the local tire shop where I bought the Ironman whitewalls for my 96. They were willing to dismount and dispose of the tires free of charge.
Unfortunately, they didn't have the hubcaps in the car or near by. I can buy hubcaps reasonably domestically, ($95 for a used set). The bad thing is that they either have a Chevy bowtie on them or are engraved with Chevrolet Motor Division. I can buy a plain-Jane set online but they're $200+! Plus they come 3rd class freight from Lower Bulgaria!
So, I'll have to figure something out for the hubcaps but I need to restore and paint the wheels as well as buy new whitewalls.

Reason: Ooops!
Thanks for posting this, when I saw the picture on my phone it just didn't do the wheels justice. Much better, bigger image here. I know you will find a set of wheel centers which work for you eventually, be patient. Don't forget to let us know when you do.
I drained the battery in my phone yesterday searching for center caps. I need to find a Chevy Caprice/Impala forum as I'm sure someone has already been through this.
