Cragar ss rims on my 68 olds
Hi everyone
got a question. I just ordered a new set of cragar ss 15 inch rims for my 68 cutlass s convertible. The fronts are 15x7's which will have 235 60 15s on them. The backs are 15x8's with 275 60 15s on them. The backspace on the fronts are 4", and 4.25 on the rear. I bought these from summit racing. My question is will 4.25 backspace on the rears be enough to clear the fender so the 275s won't rub? Summit told me that's the backspacing I needed. I was wondering if anyone else is running something similar on their cars.

Don't rely on Summit for that info. Measure it yourself.
Don't be surprised if the lug studs are too short. I ordered a set for my 68 Vette. They said sure they'll fit. They did not due to the 68-only backspace requirement. So I thought Id put them on my 68 442. They fit but the centers are so thick I'm not getting enough stud to nut engagement. These are not unilugs. I suppose unilugs with the sleeved lug nuts might work.

I have a new set of direct drill CRAGAR SS on my 1972
and I had the same thoughts about the wheel studs?? It might tighten down a 1/2 on the stock studs? So, is this right? What should a person do? See picture below:

Some interesting info on the GTO Forum about the CRAGAR conical seat lug nuts and the direct drill CRAGAR SS:
