I have a 71 cutlass holiday coupe that I want to put 15' rally wheels on but its factory 14'
my question is will 15's fit with no trouble?
what is the best profile tire to apply to this configuration?

Yes they will fit no problem. You can pick your tire size. From 275 60 15's to whatever. I had 275 60's in the rear and 245 60's in the front. 1970 442. I never had any issues.

 

Yup, i have a set on my 72 with 245s. Fit perfectly. I am actually considering having the rears widened to 10 inches. There is a ton of room back there.

 

I have them on my 1971; but I have still not changed the speedometer drive gear. I guess I don't look at it, been over 20 years now !

 

The diameter of the wheel is irrelevant. What matters is the diameter and width of the TIRES you plan to put on them.

 

That is a good way to put it: wheel diameter is always less than tire diameter !..….

 

And you can buy 15" tires that have a smaller outside diameter than that of some 14" tires.
