66 cutlass tire size?

Just joined yesterday. Got my 66 cutlass out of storage after 28 years. Been cleaning it up and today I sprayed some 14 x 7 rally wheels, now I gotta get tires. I was kicking around going with 225 60r's on the front and 245 60's back. Anyone have advice on whether these are good choices or if these sizes will rub anywhere?

On my 66 Cutlass convertible I am running 225/70/14 Koker Redlines. I have 14x7 steel wheels. Has a nice look and still has plenty of room. I am sure others will chime in.

225/60-14s are TINY. At 24.6" outside diameter, they are a full TWO inches smaller than the OEM tires. 245/60-14s are still only 25.6" OD. The 225/70-14s are close to the OEM size at 26.5" and fill the wheel wells nicely. Note that the 245 is only 3/4" wider than the 225.

I would junk the 14's and find some 15" wheels as the tire selection is so much better.

Thanks for the help. Gonna make some calls and see what's available. I thought about the 15 inch wheels, but only have two. Gotta work with what I've got because of that whole money budget thing.

If you want to run big and littles, use the 15's in the rear and the 14's in the front.

Hey RonT.
Here's my 67.
235/60-15 in the front and 275/60-15 in the rear.

You're quite welcome. What color is the body?

It is a dark blue metallic - repainted maybe 8 years ago - not an Olds blue though.
