Hey, I bought a set of 15 x 7 olds rallye 2 wheels for my 65 v/c. I want to put them on a 70 series tire, any recommendations as to what tire size (15 inch) would work best for my v/c, by the way it has a 2 brl, 330 v8 with a jet-a-way 2 sp tranny.

215 70 15s all around if you want all the same size on all 4 corners.

The base equipment tire for your car would have been a 7.75-14, which has an O.D. of about 27 in. The optional tire for your car was a 7.75-15, with an O.D. of nearly 27.5 in. A 215/70-15 has an O.D. of about 26.85 in. A 225/70-15 has an O.D. of 27.4 in, which is about the same as the 7.75-15. If you wanted to stagger the sizes, you could go 215/70-15 in the front and 255/60-15 in the back.

if I went with the second option and staggered the sizes will it sit somewhat level looking?

The staggered sizes I suggested are nearly the same outside diameter. 26.85" for the fronts and 27.05" for the backs. That was the closest match I could find.

Note that these are calculated sizes based on unloaded tires. Actual diameters can vary a little due to manufacturing method, rim width, load, and amount of wear, but it won't be enough to matter. For example, BFG lists 26.80" as the O.D. for their 255/60-15 T/As. That is apparently measured using an 8" rim width, and I don't know if that's fully inflated diameter or equivalent rolling diameter that accounts for sidewall flex under load.
