tire size question

I have a 67 olds 442 convertable. I bought a set of 15"x 7 SS 1 wheels. What size tires do you recormend for these wheels front and rear? The springs are a little weak but I have air shocks in the rear. What would be the largest outside tire diameter that I should run? 60 or 70 series.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would keep it under 27" OD. BFG 255/60-15s are a smidge over 27" and have a 10" section width. They work (just barely) on a 69, but on a 67 they might rub.

I was thinking 235 60's front or maybe going with 70's front and rear. I'm more concerned about the front as the coil spring are sagging a little.

I run 245/60/15s and they fit the wheelwell perfectly. Look good and don't rub. Thats on a 68 though.

My friend's dad has 295 50 15's in the rear of his 69 442 and 215 ?? 15's in the front. ( I think they are 70's)

Talk about a beefy tire 12.2 section width
