1965 Cutlass rear wheel size & backspacing

I'm looking at a wheel and tire upgrade for my 1965 Cutlass. The wheels that I would like to use on the rear are 15" x 8" with a 4 1/2" BS. Can some other 64-65 Cutlass owners chime in on what they have as far as backspacing and rear wheel widths? Is 4 1/2" backspacing enough for a 8" wide wheel on this body style?

Not sure if this will help, but I have some MB old school wheels 17x9.5 they clear the fender with about a inch on each side. Iam worried about when I change my rear end that I might need new wheels

I don't know what the actual back spacing is although I can measure this weekend if needed
