Rear Brake Drums

After several unsuccessful attempts to get rear drums for my VC for various suppliers. I tried "Buybrakes.com".
They got it right. The brand is Dynamic Friction. Of course it's made in China but it supposed to be balanced it's painted and seems to be machined well. Time will tell if it's junk, but I wanted to share another source of parts. To be continued....

You can always have a local shop check the balance on your drums. Good to hear that there's another source out there.

Glad to hear they look decent. They have them for my Toronado, need a set for the rear as mine are totally beat. The last time I tried to buy drums for a car they were total crap.

What was the problem with Raybestos 2037R?

Funny You should ask Joe, it was a frustrating experience.
I originally ordered 2 Raybestos drums from Rock Auto, only 1 was correct (received a 2"drum in the other box)..
Returned it for another, again right box and part number, wrong drum(2"drum). After the second time they were out of stock.
Ordered the Raybestos drum through Summit. Took 2 months, and guess what, wrong drum (again 2" drum) in right box with part number.
Took a chance with the Dynamic Friction brand. It's the exact same as the Raybestos drum and $20 cheaper.
They're both made in China. I considered Raybestos to be premium, that's why I was pleasantly surprised with the Dynamic drum.
This is strictly based on appearance. I won't know for sure until spring. I'll take some pictures and submit them later.

Are you going to paint the drums?

Yes, my method is to spray the drum down with brake cleaner and blow it off with compressed air.
I spray a light coat of VHT engine primer, then 2 light coats of the engine enamel. my color choice is the Low Gloss Black.
It has worked well on previous drums.

Something went wrong with posting pictures. I posted 3, and the narrative is all jumbled.
I went into "edit" and all 3 pictures with descriptions are fine. Maybe it will clear it's self up?
