As I'm slowly getting things back together with the VC, I came across an envelope with some documents.
Among them were the original owners manual and warrantee book with protect-o-plate. I totally forgot I had them.
I've heard it's sought after item for originality, and it does confirm the car came from Oregon.
What else can I find out about the car with this? I guess it could add a bit of value for the next prospective owner?
I don't think you can find out more than what it says on it. The name and address of the original purchaser, which is cool, especially if you want to try to track them down to find out more about the car's history. It also has the car's VIN. so you know which car it goes with.
The whole purpose of this was just to simplify service. You come in for service, give them this, they run it through one of those old-fashioned "knuckle-buster" credit card-reading machines, and they have your info without having to have you fill out the top of the service form by hand or go over to the car and copy down the VIN.
I don't know what those other numbers mean. I've never heard anyone translate them.
It's just a cool piece of the car's history that sometimes doesn't survive through time, especially if the car changes hands and the name on the plate is no longer the owner. A subsequent owner would just throw it away.
Perform a Google search you'll find decent info on the Oldsmobile Protect-O-Plate numbers. Here's a link to a discussion I recall following last year which describes some of the other numbers e.g. Dealership, Region, etc., etc.
I've heard it's sought after item for originality...
That certainly was the case. But so few cars still have these with them that many jkudging organizations no longer even look for them much less give you points for having them.
But my VC is like yours--it still has original documents! And I keep it that way by only displaying copies at shows.

Which is pitiful especially if it is a verified numbers matching vehicle w/ the original Protect O Plate. It really demonstrates the little respect I have for many judging organizations. I've seen people get points for the most ludicrous pieces of documentation e.g. an owner's manual. If a judging organization fails to provide points for a validated numbers vehicle Protect O Plate that judging organization is worthless, IMO.
And those of us who have original documents should keep them with the title in an easily accessible spot with sale instructions.
If we decide to suddenly exit this plane, it will be easy for our relatives to pass them along.
I keep my originals in a 3" looseleaf binder in plain sight in my office. Its spine is labeled "1970 Vista Cruiser Documents." One of the dividers is labeled "Sale Documents."
Well I was looking over info, numbers, etc and came up with some good stuff.
From what I came up with is this is a powertrain number matching car
Look at pictures below and tell me what you think.

Need some help on the last to sets of numbers on protect-o-plate
910-KK (on left side)
PSM K (on right side)
In the lower right is 01100. That could be the milage?
I noticed on the 12 month service the milage was 19227.
Maybe the last digit is tenths?

I say the 910-KK is the interior trim code (910 black standard bench seat) and KK is the upper and lower paint on the car - Aquamarine Poly
Pretty sure your right the 01100 is the mileage on the car at the time it was sold.
Since we're on a roll, would tilt steering and the rally pac be on the cowl tag?
Those are the only options I can see.
I have every reason to believe they're original but can't verify
Here's the tag. Don't see those codes. But in the lower left corner I see 5Y .
Looks like a letter is partially covered with sealer to the left of 5Y.
Maybe The RallyPac and Tilt are just on the build sheet?
