I have a '61 Dynamic 88 wagon with an LS (LQ4) engine. I would like to install an in tank fuel pump to replace the frame rail mounted pump. Does anyone know of an aftermarket setup that will work with this tank or an aftermarket tank that is built to accommodate an in tank pump? Thanks

 

There are a number of in tank pump systems that will fit. You may find clearance issues on the top of the tank with an in-tank pump mount. There is nothing wrong with a frame mounted pump, as long as it is mounted low, and has adequate cooling. You may even find that the external pump has some benefits in that you will not have to drop the tank if you need to replace it. Unless you have a problem with fuel scavenging, I would keep the exterior pump.
