Is there anyone that makes a HEI distributer for a 56 324?

 

I have found out ( on the later 394's) that using a HEI cap somehow adapted on an original distributor, it will not clear the firewall or the back of the intake manifold. Maybe you will have the same problem. There is a company that will take your distributor and put in HEI internal parts, or a simple electronic conversion will work well

 

Get you a Pertronix conversion for your existing distributor. It installs in less than and hour and looks completely stock. I recommend getting their coil too. They work great.
