1955 oil pressure line

I damaged my oil pressure line to the gauge when putting the body back on the frame, does anyone know what type of flare tool I would use to make a new line? looks like it's 1/8" line but the flare on the ends looks different than anything I've seen before. There are several aftermarket oil line kits available but they are all female fittings, I couldn't find anything other than the part number in the Chassis manual for what type of thread it might be.

If the flair the line connects to the oil filter adapter is unusual, I would just put a new section in the line using the end connected to the adapter and use compression fittings on each end of the new section. I hope what I am suggesting makes sense.

I did that as a kid on some brake lines, the guy at the inspection station didn't think too much of it haha. I think i have enough of a straight section section for a couple compression fittings, the ends unscrewed without issue, thats probably the best bet, i don't want oil dripping on my feet if i don't get a good seal with something other than the factory connection.

Thanks!!

Those brake lines had way more PSI than the oil pressure lines.

I believe this may be the male fittings with this kit you may need, Google 25-121405-1 kit, it is for a Chevy Corvette 1956

@ub2693v did you complete your oil gauge and line installation?
