I am restoring a 1969 Cutlass and am getting down to the small details. I noticed both the fender and trunk emblems have the same style "Cutlass" script. Are these emblems interchangeable on the trunk and fender? I can buy two nice scripts for the fender but will they also fit on the trunk. I do want to use the existing holes and not make any new ones.

The fender and trunk emblems have different part numbers and do not interchange. They are different sizes and have a different mounting post patterns. The larger one in the pics is from the fender.

 

Yep, also note that the fender emblem is tapered (thicker at the bottom than at the top) to fit the curvature of the fender.
