Pillar reinforcement for 55 88

Hi All

Looking for an intact front passenger side pillar to rocker reinforcement for a 55 '88. From what I understand, rust out in the passenger side rocker/pillar/fender area is a common so I don't know how hard it is to come by this piece. I haven't been able to find one online so I figured I would ask if anyone here has one. If you do and you're willing to part with it, please message me.

Thanks,

Dan

Thank you for passing my name on Tedd!

Dan, I got your PM but haven't figured out a new way to post pictures in PM's yet. So here's some I took of a 1954 Olds 88 2 door hardtop in the area you described. Can you see the part you need here? Does it look good enough to work for you? John

Hi John
Thanks for taking the time to post the pics. Yes, that's the correct area. The part I'm after can be seen in all of your pics. It's sits directly behind the hockey stick shaped bracket and runs down in between the rockers. I was able to find a pic of it from the Fischer Assembly Manual for that year (although the manual only shows the driver's side).

Hi Dan
Can you tell by these photos if the part is in good enough shape for you to use? If not, is there any other angles I can take pictures of to help you decide? I'd be willing to cut this area off the car if it will work for you. John

Hi John. Sorry for the delay. Thought I sent you an IM yesterday but now I see it might not have gone through. Anyway, it looks like the top part is good. If you had a picture of where the rockers meet directly underneath that area, we could tell if the reinforcement is present in the bottom.

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan
I took several pictures but this is the only one that came out clear. So much for autofocus! Can you see what you need on this photo? John

Hi John

Perfect picture! The piece looks good. To avoid confusion and so we know we're talking about the same piece, I've marked the with blue dots on this pic. Also, I see that you have the fender to body bracket, which I marked with a yellow dot. I'm interested in that as well as, as long as you're cutting that area apart. IM me with a price. Thanks! Dan

OK, I'll get the fender pulled and confirm with you what to cut before firing up the sawzall. John
