Hey guys I have my new Pertronix unit and it says you need to remove the distributor for installation. I believe it has to do with the gap of the magnetic ring and the unit. It's been about 15 years since I've removed a distributor and I don't really feel like removing it if I don't have to. Has anyone installed one of these without doing so? If not what's the best way to remove the dist.? Thanks!

 

Never mind guys I just got off the phone with a great guy at Pertonix and I can run the Ignitor three and not have to remove the distributor. Going to exchange the one I have for that.
