Nope, they're not...
That microscopic hairline scratch in whatever will start to show like a kool-aid stain on a white rug.
I forsee that issue in my future I guess...

Looks sharp as could be though! Love that color combo.
Here is one bigger pic.

I was born in '55 too, wish I looked that good for my age.

My teacher learned me that lots of things can be finished but the only things that can be "done" are cakes.

I'm doing fine Liz. Went to a big car show last weekend and got to park next to a beautiful 1953 Old's 98 convertible. I would post some pics of the 53 but for some aggravating reason it won't let me. I bet you can't wait to start showing yours again.

great pictures.. wow that 53 is beautiful... looks like your car was right at home at the show..looking beautiful too.. thats the only thing i would have if i could ...convertible... just beautiful to sit there with the sun and breeze... whipping through your hair.. i had a 58 chevy impala convertible ...and what a car..i just noticed today Nada dropped the prices on classic cars by a few thousand ... i was wondering when that was going to happen..of course hoping it wouldn't... but of course we are not in this to make money..staying even would be nice though.. but monetary value cannot compare to the immense enjoyment i have with Lucille..even without the top down...lol .. just love this car.. as i know you know how i feel having one yourself...

Beautiful, nice job! I live in Holbrook, just south of Centereach. Also lived in Corning. Small world right? I know what you mean about spring coming late in upstate NY.

Any restoration photos of the work in progress?

Liz, Beautiful car! I sold my 56 a few years back and wish I never had. By the way, I was also born in 55 and was born and raised in Rochester! Where did you go to school? I was a friend of the Lanzatella's you know Philanz Olds on East Ridge Road, so I spent a lot of time around Oldsmobiles!
