Kickdown Adjustment on 55 Olds

Any tips or suggestions on adjusting the kickdown linkage on the bell crank on the Hydramatic transmission?

It's a bit involved to cover here. Look in the 1955 Oldsmobile Shop Manual beginning on page 3-95 (or 113).
