How to remove interior door handle 47 olds

 

If it is like later Oldsmobiles there is a spring clip between the door card and the door handle shield. Usually a tool can be had to remove this clip at almost any auto parts place or harbor freight for not much money or it can be gotten out with a thin screwdriver with a little more effort..... another trick for removing the clip (if it has the clip) is to take a ordinary shop towel or any rag and

put the edge of the towl between the back of the handle and the door panel and just pull the rag/towl around the handle 360 degrees, the towel will snag on the end of the clip and pull the clip right off. no tool needed.if it has the plastic insulator you have to be behind the insulator.

 

Or it might have a common set screw behind the handle.
