Have you taken it to a good machine shop to see if it can be repaired? I bet Hi-Tech Welding in Lee's Summit, MO could fix it. Oldsguy and I have taken multiple items to them to have welded, every time they've done an excellent job and had good prices. I'm sure there is a similar welding shop in your area.

If you aren't willing to have it welded then you might consider custom headers. That would be the only option unless you can find an original one. Good luck!

Talking Welcome to CO

Good luck in finding the manifold. Olds64 has the right idea, cast metal can be welded using the right methods. Finding parts for the older cars is tough.

Manifold

Ptwoodstock, just a shot in the dark, but keep a lookout an the H.A.M.B. forum . Lots of old cars are cut up for hot rods and those parts are no longer needed . You would be suprised what shows up from time to time....Tedd

another question

does any body know when manifold changed basic cofiguration changed, 35 36 went over intake , found a set of 41 intakes but don't know if they will bolt on, had read some place, earlier casting were thin ,36 casting were better but i know they used a different carb, bought interchange cd off of ebay but no manifold listings. a gentleman in colorado responded and said he had a 36 manifold but he has to wait for the snow to melt, would perfer the 36 manifold but am considering buying the 41's just in case deal fall through. have found out this car is harder to find parts for than the edsel i use to own. it"s getting close to sping and time to get back in the garage and tinker with the olds. sure would like to drive it this summer without exhaust leaking into car as we haul a bunch of the grankids with us all the time they love goeing places in it. {the are not teenagers yet}

Welcome to our site! I also would love any photos of your car as I really like the older ones. I hope you can find a use-able manifold or if not, then can repair the original. Good luck.

I should have one off my 37 Olds six. Don't know if they are the same, but I can take a picture and post or send to you. Will look tomorrow.

what would you take for the first set in in the pictures i dont know if the 35 intake will fit the 37 exhaust manifold. 35 has choke bellow attached to the manifold for the stromberg card. i think the 37 has a carter with a heater tube from the manifold to the choke housing.

found a 37 set of manifolds, every thing has bolt right in so far, only difference is the choke tube heater is on the exhaust manifold on the 37 manifolds, where the choke on the 35 is a bellow heater mounted on the intake,still looking for a 35 manifold though, but am going to run the 37 manifolds util i find one, thanks to every body who replied cat wait to hear her without all the exhaust leaks,

Homemade headers on the 35 olds chassis I'm building for the sloper.

Lots of fun piecing mandrel bends together .

the inlet is an Edmunds custom twin setup.

Cheers Paddy
