324 Engine Bolt Specs

Coming in on the home stretch on my 324 build but the last owner of my 55 tore the top end off the engine and lost the intake and exhaust bolts. If anyone out there would know the bolt sizes and lengths it would save me some time. I already have the thick washers. Thanks for any help.

Hi Scott
I pulled the top end of my parts car 324 last summer. I included most of the intake fasteners when I sold the intake. But there were two intake studs and four exhaust studs still in the heads. Also a baggie that I think were exhaust fasteners I pulled last summer. I used the vice grips and got the studs out of the heads. The two intake ones look like they're maybe two threads longer than the exhaust studs. Here's some pictures. If it would help I'd send you the bolts/studs in the photos below for $10 to your door. Let me know what you think. John

Scott,if you purchase the bolts above an easy way to remove the rust is to put them in a plastic container and cover them with white vinegar.Leave them 24 hrs, then rinse and dry and coat with a light coat of oil. This worked for me on a rusty chain I had. Larry
