1955 Olds rear anti sway bar bushings
Are rear sway bars thinner than the front sway bar? I found the correct ones for the front bar that have a 11/16" diameter hole but the rear bar is only a 1/2" diameter bar. Fusick does not show the smaller diameter bushing on their website, they recommended calling NAPA to cross reference. Steele rubber also only shows the front bushings on their website. Would appreciate any good feedback.

The rear bar is thinner (makes me smile every time I look at it....).
The bush in is the same either way. It smashes down pretty good when you tighten the bracket. The Fusick part description says its for both. They also have the end link assemblies for the rear.
It all went together fine for me on my last mock up.

Turned out that a 5/8" and 9/16" bushings are too big for the stock clamp. With 2 coats of POR 15 the diameter is 1/2" so it seems the only alternative is a poly bushing 7/16" diameter with it own clamp and can be lubricated. Waiting for them to arrive in the mail and will let you know how it turns out.

I had this same exact conversation with Fusick about 2 years ago. It turns out that depending on where your car was built, it may have had the thinner rear sway bar. Mine does.
These bushings are fairly generic. I bought this from Auto Zone and it worked fine. I also sent that info to Fusick to include in their catalog, but they weren't interested.
