Can l use the EverStart MAXX-24 Walmart battery in my 1954 Super 88 ? Says it 700 Cold cranking amps, 875 Cranking amps @32F

If it will fit in the tray, yes. Just be sure to secure it good.

You will probably need to make a different hold down as I believe the height is different than what is viable now days. Simple fix, but they won't work with factory hold down....Tedd

Charlie, did that 60K battery fit your battery tray ? A battery chart I saw listed 63.

 

I haven't bought that battery yet Ralph . It will probably be the last thing that I buy as I finish the restoration .
The demensions are right . At least if I haven't put too much fibreglass resin in the battery tray .

 

Olds used the 60K in all full-size cars from 1954-1964. Cadillac, Packard and some Buicks too.
