I have a 1953 oldsmobile 4 door super 88. It has the original power brakes on the vehicle and would like to convert to a new style booster or manual brakes, where could I find this ?

 

There are no kits that I know of that are made up just for 53's.I think you will have to fab something up generic like something from a CJ jeep or perhaps S10 Chevy. The firewall will need to be reinforced also. You might check into a hot rod supplier that has brake adaptions they have been doing this for years... Good luck.... Tedd

 

Tedd has summed it up pretty well. The only thing you can do is use a swinging pedal and mount the booster and master cylinder on the firewall. It will work well but is a big mod and a long way from stock.

I fixed it. Yes one of them was oldsdad, the other is for an under floor conversion.
