1953 Olds power brakes

I am building a 1953 Olds 88 and grafted in a Nova front end. I bought the parts for power discs , booster to mount on firewall . Last week I found a 53 four door which I bought for the fenders, etc. Upon inspection , I realized it has power brakes -the booster bolts to a plate under the pedal-kinda cool and I have not seen before on other 52/53 Olds. Question : will the stock 53 power unit provide enough pressure for disc brakes ? Is the stock unit rebuildable -are parts available ? Or should I just go with the new booster (which will require a different pedal system ). Thanks for the help > John

Seeing as how you are not restoring the car and have updated the front end I would suggest you go with the new booster and dual master cylinder system. If you are leaving the drums on the back the make sure you us the proper disc/drum master cylinder. The old original power brake system will not work well with the disc brakes plus it only has a single master cylinder.
