1949 98 4-door Deluxe. Trim section on the body plate is 2A. I understand the 2 means "Two tone grey broadcloth" (as I read it the only color interior available on a 4-door that year), but can anyone tell me what the "A" signifies? Thanks,

I can't either, all my reference books are where I'm not. have you tried Wild About Cars that should have that information if you can wade through the other stuff......Lost in the fifties ..Tedd

No, Wild About Cars does not have that information. Very little for the '49 on WAC.
