Hello from Germany,
I am working on a 1941 Olds 6 with an automatic transmission. The car needs the following:

1. Cylinderhead gasket. (I found a replacement head on Ebay)
2. Radiator cap
3. Transmission mounts (I contacted Fusick, but there are none in stock, and sending the ones on the car away for repair is not possible.)
4. Upper motor mount
5. Temperature sender
6. Fan belt.

Thanks for the information. I checked out Kanter in the first round. They need an exchange for the mounts, but I will look again for the other parts. At the time, I was only looking for the mounts.

 

Hi. I own a 41 Olds and got my temperature sensor from Kurt Kelsey, in Iowa. See his add on the early times Pontiac newsletter below. He is a big early Pontiacs man and told me Oldsmobile use the same sensor and indeed it fit mine perfectly well. My car is an 8 cylinder and I don't know if it may be different for your 6 cylinder engine. Good luck!

Hello again from Germany.
Thanks to all for your help with my last query. I found the engine mounts on eBay, and the temperature sender locally.
I am looking for the correct fan belt. The 7575 XL available from Kanter (or Rock Auto) is not the correct one.
Is the Gates 44553, or the Dayco 28473 the correct one for a 1941 Olds with the straight six?

The aftermarket number for the fan belt was originally V101. You'll still find it difficult to bring that number up on most websites but if you strike out then perhaps try this place. https://au-vbeltguys.glopalstore.com...13540bfd&_ss=r

 

Thanks, everyone. I found the correct belt, ACDELCO T28473 on Rock Auto. 1937 Pontiac, belt drive is where it can be found.
