transmission rebuild kit suggestions
Hello, I have a TH350 from my 72 Cutlass S to be rebuilt by an experienced GM mech
He suggested the PATC (www.patc.co) kit. It looks like quality parts, but it is pricey. Wanted to see what else is out there and experiences.

Depends on what kind of power you're looking to put through it.
PATC or what I call the "Raptor" guys is pricey.
You can get all your parts from www.bulkpart.com but most people with no
trans experience don't know what to buy. So find a kit, and copy the kit.
I wouldn't put a ton of money into a non-OD TH350 personally.

I had my TH 400 rebuilt recently. The only thing aftermarket I put on the transmission was a deep pan. The transmission tech I took it to said the TH 400 is a good transmission without changing anything. I'm sure it holds true for the TH 350 as well.
If you have "go-fast" parts on your engine then you might consider getting a transmission kit with a reprogrammed valve body. If your car is mostly stock then just get a normal rebuild kit. I would suggest shopping at Summit or Jegs. They have great quality and decent prices.
